“The Sacred Answer to a Sinful World”
SANCTUS : Latin [ghost, holy, saintly]
Established in 2012 by designer Lucinda Sinclair, Church of Sanctus offers an ethical, hand crafted option in a world crowded with the disposable. Made in England using Earth conscious materials, the collections draw inspiration from feminist theology with the intent to create heirloom pieces infused with the divine.
Church of Sanctus’ aim is to empower women and feminine identifying people; to remind them of their innate divinity, and to make them feel like the Goddess they are.
We do this by also empowering the women making our clothes – everything at Church of Sanctus is made by either Lucinda or one of our local seamstresses here in England, ensuring our designs are always made in an ethical, conscious way.
Every Sanctus piece begins its life in our North London studio. From the birth of the initial design, to cutting, sewing and packaging your garment – every part of the handmade process is carefully overseen by Lucinda.
We believe that SLOW fashion is the future and source all of our fabrics and trims from deadstock and natural fibres.
All of our packaging is made from 100% recycled materials and is also recyclable.
Our processes not only minimise waste and try to ensure everyone in the supply chain is fairly treated, but it intertwines a sense of cherished value that has been lost in the modern fashion industry.
